Nothing without joy! We are what children need to grow beautiful.
Molly next to a tree

We inspire young people when we give them stories that speak to their hearts and insights that open their minds.

My fascination with caregiving began before I was two years old, as the first in a family of nine children born within eleven years.  My passion is helping children and young adults develop the communication skills and confidence they need to:
  • make sense of their world,
  • give shape to their ideas,
  • and claim their unique beauty.
To this noble and creative work I bring education and training in English (B.A., Marshall University, magna cum laude), Library Science (Master of Library Science, Louisiana State University), and Florida certification as Educational Media Specialist (prekindergarten - grade 12), PreK/Primary Educator (age 3-grade 3), and Drama Educator (grades 6-12).  These are seasoned by 30 years of working experience as a children's and young adult librarian, teaching artist, storyteller, conference presenter and educator, editor and reviewer, writer and youth advocate.

As Molly Brave I will make my original children's writing and music available to the public.  These include: The Magic Fishbone, The Strange Visitor, Pockets, Through The Screen Door, Sarah and the Violet Witch, Thunderstorm, Touching the Hand of God, Free As a Bird, Brother Goose Riddles, WE Are Mother Goose, The Boo Boo Books (a beginning reader series), and Edible Flowers A-Z.
